The Road Superintendent serves as the head of the Claiborne Parish Highway System and directs daily operations of that department.
Superintendent Durrett also assists with related work of other governmental agencies including the School Board, Sheriff’s Office, and the Municipalities within the parish, as well as with the Louisiana State Department of Transportation, particularly the Off System Bridge Program. In addition he works with the Police Jurors regarding their concerns, with the Secretary-Treasurer, and with the general public as required.
